Lush yet refined wine with smooth tannins, it has hints of dried fruits, vanilla and black pepper. 
FOOD PAIRINGS:  Bison burgers, Lamb kebabs, Meat pie, Sharp Cheddar cheese
 
CHILE    CARMENERE   (PRESTIGE)   January 2018
Rich wine with robust tannins, luscious flavours of red cherries and berries with hints of spice and leather.  This is a true GEM!!
FOOD PAIRINGS:  Cabbage rolls, Pork or beef tacos, Meatballs, Pepper Jack cheese.
 
SPAIN   TEMPRANILLO   (EMINENCE)   February 2018
Tempranillo is the most popular wine in Spain (and my favourite!).   This will be your GO TO WINE.  It is nicely balanced with savory notes and berries.
FOOD PAIRINGS:  Pizza, Flank steak, Burritos, Manchego cheese
 
GERMANY   RIESLING    (VIRTUE)    March 2018
This wine is captivating and complex; it has crisp flavours of honey, peach and lemon, with a lingering minerality.  This is a crowd pleaser!!
FOOD PAIRINGS:  Pad Thai, German sausage, Shrimp stir-fry, Edam cheese
 
PASSPORT SERIES 2018
I am not showcasing Passport wines this year; however they are still available to order.  I found the RQ 2017 series superior and therefore I’m recommending them as my personal preference.  I always enjoy wines from France, but the Passport series has failed in my opinion, with wine kits made with the Grenache grape in the past, therefore I’m not confident to promote this wine to my valued clientele.  Vineco is an excellent wine kit manufacturer; so if you enjoy wines in this series, please do not hesitate to order them.  (I know that I will make ALL of them for my cellar).

Remember you only need to pre-order not pre-pay. The wines are paid when we start them.  Order 4 or more RQ and/or PASSPORT and save $15.00 on each wine. I’m proud to endorse these wines as I have won over 30 awards in the International Wine Maker Competition, with many of the limited release wines.

It has been over three years since we have had to raise our wine making fees; due to increased costs of wine supplies, freight and utilities, we will have a slight price increase effective October 2, 2017. Crafting your own wine at Grape Expectations is still very economical, our clients enjoy the wine they make over commercial wine purchased!
