Executive Chef Steve Meehan was born in Montreal and has moved
across Canada with his family, and then with his Culinary career.
Food has always excited Steve from a young age, he was always
looking at how to improve every meal. Chef Steve remembers watching
his mother in the kitchen and asking what are you dong can I help.
This passion has grown stronger throughout the years and leading
Steve to where he is today.
Training at Stratford Chefs school followed with 5 years under
a German Master Chef has given him a strong back ground in the
culinary arts.
His love of fresh ingredients and the bounty of fresh local products
from the surrounding Windsor area is the perfect location for
the Grill 55 Culinary team to serve the fresh and creative items
that are offered at Grill 55.
Erno Szabo Executive Sous Chef
Chef Erno Szabo was born in
Budapest Hungry. At age 10, Chef Ernos favourite reading material
was assorted cook books. He always helped his mother by surprising
her by having meals and deserts prepared for her when she arrived
home.
As his passion grew he started in 1991 at Hotel Citadella in Budapest.
Furthering his culinary education he moved through the ranks and
came to Canada in 1999, and started his first position at Leones,
then Farniente, then the Miller Tavern. Moving through the years
his passion for fresh ingredients grew. fresh baked bread became
a favourite for Chef Erno, he has perfected this throughout the
years and has now brought this talent to Grill 55.
